Stone-removing process in flour mill
In the flour mill, the process of removing the stones from the wheat is called de-stone. Large and small stones with different particle sizes than those of wheat can be removed by simple screening methods, while some stones that have same size as wheat require specialized stone removal equipment.
De-stoner can be used by using water or air as a medium. The use of water as a medium to remove stones will pollute water resources and has rarely been applied. The method of removing stone by using air as a medium is called dry method stone. The dry method is currently widely used in flour mills, and its main equipment is stone removing machine.
Destoner mainly uses the difference in the speed of suspension of wheat and stones in the air to remove stones, and the main working mechanism is the sieve surface of the stone. During the work, the stone remover vibrates in a specific direction and introduces a rising penetrating airflow, which is screened by the difference in the suspension speed of wheat and stones.
